Interactive Metronome
Interactive Metronome (IM) is a computer-based program designed
to improve rhythm and timing, attention and coordination. It typically
requires 15 one-hour sessions conducted over a 3 to 5 week period.
The individual performs a variety of hand and foot exercises to
a rythmic beat for a high number of repetitions while guided by
auditory feedback. The goal is to bring about lasting improvements
in fundamental neurological and motor information processing, planning,
sequencing and attentional capacities. This can contribute to improvements
in social and laguage skills, behavior, academics, and motor skills.
